Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah finally concludes CM change speculation
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah: On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has firmly stated that there is “no vacancy” for the Chief Minister’s post in Karnataka. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah finally concludes CM change speculation.
He has reiterated his intention to complete his full five-year term, and has even said that the next election will be fought under his leadership. This statement comes amidst persistent speculation about a power-sharing agreement between him and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, which has been a recurring theme since the Congress’s victory in the 2023 assembly elections.

D.K. Shivakumar himself has also recently denied any plans for a cabinet reshuffle or leadership change, calling such reports “media speculation.” Both leaders have publicly affirmed that they will abide by the decisions of the Congress high command.

While seers like Nonavinakere Shiva Yogishwara Shri have indeed voiced their support for D.K. Shivakumar becoming the Chief Minister, and there continue to be murmurs of internal dynamics and aspirations within the Congress party, the official stance from both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, as well as the party high command, is that there is no immediate change in leadership planned for Karnataka.
