iQOO 16 Launches With 8400mAh Battery and Triple 50 Megapixel Cameras
iQOO 16 has arrived in China with a 2K AMOLED display, Snapdragon flagship processor, triple 50 megapixel cameras, 8400mAh battery and Android 17 based software.

iQOO has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the iQOO 16, in the Chinese market. The new handset combines a high refresh rate display with a large battery, powerful processor and a triple camera system aimed at users looking for premium hardware.
The phone is available in four configurations. The 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at 5,999 yuan, which is approximately ₹85,815. The 12GB RAM with 512GB storage version costs 6,799 yuan, while the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant is priced at 7,499 yuan. The top model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage costs 8,499 yuan, equivalent to around ₹1,21,580.
A major highlight of the iQOO 16 is its 8400mAh battery. The phone supports 100W fast charging along with 40W wireless charging. The large battery capacity is paired with flagship hardware, giving the device a specification focused heavily on long usage and performance.
The smartphone features a 6.85 inch Samsung M16 LTPO AMOLED display. It has a 3168 by 1440 pixel resolution, 20 by 9 aspect ratio and a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The panel supports HDR10 Plus and Dolby Vision, while its standard brightness is rated at 2800 nits and peak brightness can reach 10,000 nits.
iQOO has also included DC dimming and an in display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The combination of the high refresh rate and LTPO technology is designed to provide smooth visuals while adjusting the refresh rate depending on the content being displayed.
Performance comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 2nm mobile platform, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU. The handset comes with 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM or 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB using UFS 4.1 technology.
On the software side, the iQOO 16 runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The phone is also designed to withstand demanding conditions, carrying IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The company also highlights its ability to operate in underwater conditions.
Photography is another major focus. The rear camera setup includes three 50 megapixel sensors. The primary camera has an f1.68 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is joined by a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera with an f2.05 aperture and a 50 megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera with an f2.65 aperture and OIS.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 32 megapixel front camera with an f2.2 aperture. The combination gives the handset dedicated options for standard photography, wider scenes and distant subjects.
The iQOO 16 measures 163.75mm in height, 76.90mm in width and 8.3mm in thickness. It weighs 229.8 grams. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and NFC. A USB Type C 3.2 Gen 1 port is also included.
The iQOO 16 is currently available in China, while details about a wider international launch have not been provided in the supplied information.
