Samsung Galaxy A36 5G Gets Costlier in India With Up to ₹3,000 Price Hike

Samsung has increased the prices of its Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A56 5G smartphones in India. The revision comes just ahead of the festive shopping period, when major e commerce platforms are preparing their annual sales.

The Galaxy A36 5G has received the bigger increase, with all three configurations becoming ₹3,000 more expensive. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version now costs ₹36,999, compared with its earlier price of ₹33,999. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is now priced at ₹40,999, while the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage variant costs ₹46,499.

The Galaxy A56 5G has also become more expensive, although the increase is slightly lower. Each of its three variants has received a ₹2,000 price revision. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version now costs ₹44,999, up from ₹42,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at ₹48,999 and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs ₹54,499.

The timing of the price change is notable because festive sales from Amazon and Flipkart are approaching. Samsung has already started showing the revised prices on its official website. However, buyers may still find some configurations at older prices or with additional discounts through online retailers.

There is also some relief for customers specifically looking at the Galaxy A36 5G. An online listing has the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version available for around ₹27,485. This is considerably lower than the newly revised official price.

Customers using an eligible ICICI Bank credit card may also receive an additional discount of up to ₹712, potentially bringing the effective purchase price to around ₹26,773. Availability and final pricing can vary depending on the seller and ongoing promotional offers.

The Galaxy A36 5G was launched in India in March last year and has remained one of Samsung’s notable mid range offerings. The latest price revision means buyers should compare prices across platforms before placing an order, particularly during the upcoming festive sale period.

The increase has reportedly been linked to higher supply costs and shortages affecting memory components. Such changes can influence smartphone pricing, especially when manufacturers are dealing with increased component and production expenses.
