Government alert
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued an alert to airlines, warning them not to impose arbitrary fare hikes. Airlines have been instructed to adhere to fare norms and regulations. The ministry has also stated that strict action will be taken against carriers that fail to comply with these guidelines.
Passengers are urged to check fares carefully before booking and avoid paying excessively inflated prices. While Indigo works to resume normal operations, the government is monitoring ticket rates closely to ensure compliance and prevent exploitation of the ongoing flight disruptions.
