NIA Raid in Karnataka: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has indeed arrested three individuals in Karnataka in connection with a prison radicalisation case linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group. NIA Raid in Karnataka: arrest 3, including doctor link with terror group.
The arrests were made on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, following extensive searches in five locations across Bengaluru and Kolar districts.

1. Dr. Nagaraj: A psychiatrist at Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara, Bengaluru. He is accused of smuggling mobile phones into the prison for inmates, including Tadiyandaveed Naseer, a life-term convict in terror cases.
2. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Chan Pasha: From the City Armed Reserve (CAR). He is accused of sharing information related to Naseer’s escort from prison to various courts in exchange for money.

3. Anees Fathima: Mother of Junaid Ahmed, an absconding accused in the case. She is accused of relaying instructions from Naseer to her son for fund collection and delivery.
The case, registered in 2023, relates to the recovery of arms, ammunition, explosives, and digital devices from habitual offenders who were conspiring to unleash terror activities in Bengaluru to further the agenda of the proscribed terrorist organization LeT. The NIA has already chargesheeted nine accused in this case.
