Dharmasthala: Not found any human remains at first three spots

Dharmasthala: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has not found any human remains (skeletons) at the first three alleged burial spots identified by the whistleblower in the Dharmasthala case.

Spot 1 (Near Netravathi bathing ghat): Exhumation at this site concluded on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Despite extensive digging using earthmovers and the deployment of a dog squad, no human remains were found.

The digging was reportedly carried out to the satisfaction of the complainant and officials. Water seepage due to the proximity to the river was a challenge.

Spot 2 (Hilly forested area): On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the SIT moved to the second alleged burial site. This spot is described as a small hilly area within a forested region close to the Netravathi bathing ghat. Reports state that only manual labor is being used for digging here. As of the latest updates today, no human remains have been found at this second spot either.

Spot 3 (Details pending confirmation): While the movement to the third spot may have occurred or is imminent, specific details about the exhumation outcome for a designated “spot 3” are not yet widely reported. However, the general trend indicates no findings so far.

The SIT has reportedly identified a total of 13 to 15 alleged burial sites based on the whistleblower’s testimony. The investigation is ongoing, and the team will continue to examine the remaining identified locations.

The lack of findings at the initial sites underscores the challenges of the investigation and the need for meticulous forensic work to verify the whistleblower’s claims.
