The responsibility for enforcing this ban lies with the school headmasters and headmistresses. If teachers are found violating the rule, the head of the institution can be held accountable.

The circulars state that using mobile phones during school hours is considered an act of indiscipline. While the specific penalties can vary, they may include a cut in salary or increment, and in some cases, a teacher could be suspended.

To help enforce the rule, students have been encouraged to report instances of teachers using phones in the classroom to the Block Education Officer (BEO) or their school head.
