Dharmasthala Crime Case: skeletal remains found in spot 6
Dharmasthala Crime Case: As of Thursday, July 31, 2025, the latest reports from the Dharmasthala mass burial case indicate that some skeletal remains have been found at spot 6.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been actively digging at the locations identified by the whistleblower/complainant since July 29. Despite extensive digging at multiple sites, including spot 1, and subsequently spots 2, 3, 4, and 5, the SIT has not recovered any human skeletal remains but today in spot 6 found some some skeletal remains.
The SIT is continuing its exhumation efforts at other identified spots out of the total of 13. The teams have faced challenges due to the nature of the terrain, including water seepage from the nearby Netravathi River, and the presence of sand mixed with soil, especially with ongoing rainfall.
While no remains have been found, reports mention that a PAN card and a RuPay debit card were recovered from one of the sites. The SIT is investigating these to determine their relevance. The complainant is present at the sites, guiding the SIT, but initial reports suggested he was not entirely precise about the exact locations at the first few spots.
The investigation is ongoing, and the SIT remains committed to a thorough probe to determine the truth behind the mass burial claims.
