IMD Issued heavy rainfall: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain alerts for various parts of India. Pune, Satara, Raigad, Ratnagiri (Maharashtra) have been issued for Red and Orange alerts in these districts, with intense spell of rain and thunderstorms expected.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to continue over:
East & adjoining Central India: During the next 2 days.
Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu: During the next 6-7 days.

Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall with isolated Extremely Heavy Rainfall (as of July 16, night bulletin for the next few days):
July 17 (Day 2): Kerala & Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
July 18 (Day 3): Kerala & Mahe and South Interior Karnataka.
July 19 (Day 4): Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe and Tamil Nadu Puducherry & Karaikal.
July 20 (Day 5): Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tamil Nadu Puducherry & Karaikal and Uttarakhand.
21 (Day 6): Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
July 22 (Day 7): Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tamil Nadu Puducherry & Karaikal and Uttarakhand.

Northwest India: Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh (during 16th-22nd); Punjab, Haryana (on 16th, 17th, 21st & 22nd); West Rajasthan (on 16th); East Rajasthan (on 16th & 17th).
Central India: West Madhya Pradesh (during 16th-18th), East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh (during 16th-18th; 21st & 22nd).
East & Northeast India: Bihar (on 16th, 17th, 20th & 21st); Andaman & Nicobar Islands (on 17th); Odisha (on 16th, 21st & 22nd); Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim (on 16th and during 19th-22nd); Arunachal Pradesh (on 16th and during 19th-22nd with very heavy rainfall on 21st & 22nd); Assam & Meghalaya (during 19th-22nd); Mizoram & Tripura (on 19th & 20th July).
West India: Konkan & Goa (during 20th-22nd); Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra (on 16th); Goa (on 16th July).
South Peninsular India: Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka (during 16th-22nd); Lakshadweep (on 16th, 19th & 20th); Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam (during 18th-20th); Rayalaseema (on 18th & 19th); Telangana (during 17th-19th).
Pune, Satara, Raigad, Ratnagiri (Maharashtra): Red and Orange alerts have been issued for these districts, with intense spell of rain and thunderstorms expected.
Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpet districts (Tamil Nadu): Yellow alert for heavy rainfall, with some ghat districts on orange alert for very heavy rainfall on July 19 & 20.
Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri: Red alert previously issued.
