Xiaomi 18 Fold Price Leak Hints At Premium Foldable With 200MP Camera

Xiaomi is preparing to introduce its next major foldable smartphone in China, and the Xiaomi 18 Fold is already attracting attention ahead of the official launch. The company recently showcased the device at IFA 2026 in Berlin, giving enthusiasts a first look at its design before the Chinese debut.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is scheduled to launch in China on September 7, 2026. Ahead of the event, a leak has reportedly revealed details about the expected pricing and memory configuration. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the new foldable could enter the market at a price above 10,000 yuan, which translates to roughly Rs 1.40 lakh.

If the leaked pricing turns out to be accurate, the Xiaomi 18 Fold would sit clearly in the premium foldable segment. Its expected starting price is also higher than the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, which was launched at 8,999 yuan, approximately Rs 1.26 lakh. The final price and exact configurations, however, are expected to be confirmed by Xiaomi during the launch event.

The design could be another major attraction. Xiaomi is reportedly considering special edition colour choices for the new foldable, including a striking red finish shown during the IFA 2026 presentation. The red variant gives the phone a more distinctive appearance and could become one of the highlights of the new model.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 18 Fold is expected to use Xiaomi’s upcoming Xring O3 processor. Earlier reports have suggested that the chipset could be paired with LPDDR6 RAM, with a high end configuration potentially offering 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Xiaomi has not yet revealed how many memory variants will be available.

The Xring O3 processor has also appeared in benchmark related reports. A Geekbench AI listing reportedly showed a quantized score of 634 points. At another Xiaomi event in China, the processor was said to have achieved an AnTuTu score of 5,228,014 points. The chipset is reported to use a deca core design, while its C1 premium core could reach a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz.

The camera setup is expected to be one of the strongest features of the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Reports indicate that the main rear camera could use a 200MP sensor. Alongside the primary camera, the phone is also tipped to feature two telephoto cameras, suggesting that Xiaomi could put considerable focus on zoom photography.

Battery capacity may also be relatively large for a foldable device. A recent report claims that the Xiaomi 18 Fold could carry a 6,000mAh battery. If confirmed, this would give the phone a substantial power reserve, particularly for users who regularly use the larger inner screen for media, gaming and multitasking.

Display technology is another area where Xiaomi appears to be aiming high. Earlier leaks suggest that the phone could feature a 6.56 inch cover display for regular smartphone use and a larger 7.76 inch foldable screen on the inside. Both panels are expected to support LTPO technology and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The adaptive refresh rate should allow the displays to adjust their refresh rate depending on the content being shown. This can help provide smoother scrolling when needed while reducing unnecessary power consumption during less demanding activities.

For Xiaomi, the 18 Fold appears to be shaping up as a significant step in its premium foldable lineup. The combination of a large battery, high resolution camera system, advanced processor and two high refresh rate displays could make it a strong contender in the increasingly competitive foldable smartphone market.

For now, most of these specifications remain based on leaks and reports rather than official confirmation. Xiaomi is expected to reveal the complete hardware details, pricing, storage options and availability when the Xiaomi 18 Fold officially launches in China on September 7.
