Chinese smartphone maker Redmi has officially launched the Redmi 15A 5G in India, and sales have begun through Xiaomi’s official website, Flipkart, and offline retail channels. The device targets budget-conscious users looking for a 5G-ready smartphone with a large display and long-lasting battery.
The Redmi 15A 5G sports a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 800 nits, offering smooth visuals and decent sunlight legibility. Powering the device is an octa-core Unisoc T8300 5G processor paired with Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0, delivering reliable performance for everyday tasks and casual gaming.
In terms of cameras, the phone features a dual rear camera setup with a 32-megapixel primary sensor, complemented by an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Security is handled via a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers provide enhanced audio output.
Battery life is a major highlight, with a 6,300 mAh unit supporting 15W wired fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Redmi has also promised four years of Android upgrades and six years of security updates, ensuring longevity for users. The device measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15 mm and weighs around 210 grams.
The smartphone comes in three color options: Blue, Purple, and Black. Pricing starts at 12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, 14,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, and 16,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
