Realme 17 Pro Plus May Bring 200MP Camera and High Refresh Rate OLED Display

Realme is reportedly preparing its next number series of smartphones, with the Realme 17 lineup expected to bring several upgrades over the current generation. Among the models tipped to be in development is the Realme 17 Pro Plus.
According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming smartphone could feature a 6.78 inch flat OLED display. The panel is expected to offer a 1.5K resolution along with a high refresh rate, which should make scrolling, gaming and video playback feel smoother.
The camera department could be the main attraction. The Realme 17 Pro Plus is tipped to carry a triple rear camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor. It could be paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra wide angle sensor.
The reported camera configuration suggests that Realme is continuing to focus heavily on mobile photography in its Pro Plus models. A high resolution main sensor combined with a periscope lens could offer users more flexibility for both everyday photography and distant subjects.
The Realme 17 Pro Plus is expected to replace the Realme 16 Pro Plus, which was launched in India earlier this year. The current model already features a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, along with a 50MP front camera.
The Realme 16 Pro Plus also comes with a 7000mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Its AMOLED display offers up to 6500 nits of peak brightness, while the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset handles performance.
Realme has also expanded the current series with the Realme 16T 5G. That model features a 6.8 inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, an 8000mAh battery and 45W SuperVOOC charging.
Realme has not yet officially confirmed the Realme 17 Pro Plus specifications or launch date. The leaked details should therefore be treated as early information until the company announces the phone.
