Here are the general steps to withdraw money from your Dream11 wallet:
1. Open the App and Navigate to Your Balance:
Launch the Dream11 app on your mobile device.
Go to your profile picture or the “My Balance” section.
2. Initiate the Withdrawal:
Within the “My Balance” or “Winnings” section, look for the “Withdraw” or “Withdraw Instantly” option.
Click on it to proceed.
3. Enter the Amount:
Input the amount of money you wish to withdraw.
Note that you can only withdraw from your “winnings” balance, not from any bonus or deposit balance.
4. Verification:
To withdraw, your PAN card and bank account details must be verified on the platform. If you haven’t done this already, the app will prompt you to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) process.
You may need to upload a copy of your PAN card and provide your bank account number and IFSC code.
5. Confirm the Withdrawal:
After entering the amount and confirming your bank details, tap the “Withdraw” button.
The company may deduct applicable TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) at a flat rate of 30% on your net winnings at the time of withdrawal.
Important Considerations:
Withdrawal Limits: Dream11 has specific daily withdrawal limits. Instant withdrawals may also have a daily cap, with larger amounts potentially taking up to 24 hours or more to process.
Processing Time: The credit to your bank account may take up to 3 working days from the date of processing the request, though many instant withdrawal requests are processed much faster.
Bonus/Discount Money: You cannot withdraw bonus money or discount points. These are separate from your “winnings” balance.
Taxation: The new law has significant tax implications. All winnings from online gaming are now subject to a flat 30% tax, and platforms are required to deduct TDS. You are also required to file an Income Tax Return (ITR) to report this income, regardless of the amount.
The online gaming bill is a major development, and while companies like Dream11 are adjusting their business models, they have publicly stated that users’ funds remain secure for withdrawal.
