Bihar Election Exit Poll Result 2025: NDA Sweep in Bihar, Poor Show by Prashant Kishor party
Bihar Election Exit Poll Result 2025: As the second and final phase of voting in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 concluded at 6:00 PM IST today, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the initial exit poll results are now being released.
The counting of votes for all 243 constituencies will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, which will determine the final winning alliance.
The election is primarily a battle between two major political alliances:
National Democratic Alliance (NDA)- JD(U), BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, RLM – leader Nitish Kumar.
Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) – RJD, Congress, CPI (ML) Liberation, VIP, CPI, CPM- leader Tejashwi Yadav.
NDA Projected to Sweep Bihar:
Based on the initial ‘Poll of Exit Polls’ and projections released by various agencies immediately after voting concluded, the trend is clear: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar (JD(U)) and the BJP, is projected to win a decisive majority.
Here is a summary of the projections from the early exit polls for the 243-seat assembly (122 seats needed for a majority):
People’s Pulse: NDA (133 – 159 Seats), Mahagathbandhan (76 – 98 Seats), others (8 – 14 Seats).
People’s Insight: NDA (138 – 162 Seats), Mahagathbandhan (71 – 93 Seats), Others (9 – 17 Seats).
JVC Poll: NDA (135 – 150 Seats), Mahagathbandhan (88 – 103 Seats), Others (5 – 12 Seats).
Dainik Bhaskar: NDA (145–160 seats), Mahagathbandhan (73–91 seats), Others (5–10 seats).
Average of Top Polls: NDA (145 – 157 Seats), Mahagathbandhan (85 – 98 Seats), Others (8 – 14 Seats)
Poor Show by Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party:
The exit polls reinforce the media reports that Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party (which contested over 200 seats) is projected to have a very minimal impact on the overall result.
Prashant Kishor’s party is expected to fall into the “Others” category, which is collectively projected to win only around 8 to 14 seats. Despite his high-profile padyatra (foot march) and focus on governance over caste politics, the party seems to have been unable to translate this movement into a significant number of legislative seats, getting squeezed out by the two dominant alliances.
Remember, exit polls are indicative projections and can sometimes differ significantly from the final outcome (as happened in Bihar in 2020). The official counting of votes will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025.
