SBI Extends Application Deadline for 7150 Apprentice Posts Across India
State Bank of India has extended the application deadline for 7150 Apprentice vacancies, giving eligible graduates additional time to apply and pursue training opportunities in banking.

The State Bank of India has provided a fresh opportunity for job seekers by extending the application deadline for its Apprentice recruitment drive. Candidates who have not yet completed the registration process can now submit their applications until June 15, 2026.
The recruitment campaign aims to fill 7150 Apprentice positions across SBI branches located throughout the country. The vacancies are part of the bank’s initiative to provide practical banking exposure and skill development opportunities for young graduates interested in building a career in the financial sector.
Initially, the application process was scheduled to close on June 8, 2026. However, SBI has now extended the deadline, allowing more eligible candidates to participate in the selection process. The extension is expected to benefit applicants who were unable to complete their registrations within the original timeline.
Among the total vacancies, Andhra Pradesh has been allotted 709 posts, while Telangana has received 491 positions. Graduates from any recognized discipline are eligible to apply, provided they meet the prescribed criteria and complete the application process before the revised closing date.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree and should also be proficient in the official local language of the state for which they are applying. As per the eligibility conditions, candidates should be between 20 and 28 years of age as of April 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable according to government norms.
The selection process includes an online written examination followed by a local language proficiency assessment. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will be considered for final selection. Those chosen for the apprenticeship program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 15000 during the training period.
The online examination is expected to be conducted in July 2026. The test will consist of 100 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Questions will be asked from General and Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability and Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude, with each section carrying equal weightage.
Except for the General English section, candidates can attempt the examination in English, Hindi, or the regional language selected during registration. Applicants from Telugu speaking states can choose Telugu as their examination language.
Negative marking will apply in the written test. For every incorrect answer, one fourth of a mark will be deducted. Candidates who can provide proof that they studied the local language as a subject in Class 10 or Class 12 may be exempted from the local language proficiency test.
With the extended deadline now in place, eligible graduates have another chance to apply for one of the largest apprenticeship recruitment drives currently being conducted by the country’s largest public sector bank.
