Heavy Rainfall Expected in Coastal Karnataka For 2 Days From Today

The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive wheavy rainfall, while several inland districts are also likely to experience isolated showers.

Karnataka is likely to witness widespread rainfall across several districts on October 3 and 4, with the latest weather forecast predicting light to moderate showers along the coastal belt and scattered rainfall in parts of the state’s interior. The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive wheavy rainfall, while several inland districts are also likely to experience isolated showers.

On October 3, isolated light rain is likely across parts of North Interior Karnataka, including Vijayapura, Yadgir, Raichur, Belagavi, and Dharwad districts, while Bagalkote, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Gadag, and Haveri are expected to experience predominantly dry weather.

In South Interior Karnataka, isolated light to moderate rain is expected in Mandya, Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkaballapur, and Kolar districts.

Ramanagara, Tumakuru, Vijayanagara, Davanagere, Ballari, and Chitradurga districts are likely to witness predominantly dry weather.

October 4 Weather Forecast:

Similar weather conditions are expected to continue on October 4. The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are likely to receive widespread light to moderate rainfall.

In North Interior Karnataka, isolated light rain is forecast over Vijayapura, Yadgir, Raichur, Belagavi, Dharwad, Koppal, Gadag, and Haveri districts, while Bagalkote, Bidar, and Kalaburagi are expected to remain largely dry.

In South Interior Karnataka, light to moderate rain is likely at a few places across Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, Ballari, and Vijayanagara districts.

The Southwest Monsoon remained weak across Karnataka until Friday evening. During this period, only a few places in the state recorded rainfall. Napoklu in Kodagu district received 4 cm of rain, while Bhagamandala recorded 3 cm. Sulya in Dakshina Kannada district also received 3 cm of rainfall.
