Gold prices in India remained largely stable on Saturday, October 3, with only marginal fluctuations in the retail market across major cities. Both 24-karat and 22-karat gold rates witnessed slight changes, while silver prices also remained mostly steady.
Since the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays—and trading was also suspended on Friday due to Gandhi Jayanti—live commodity prices are currently unavailable. Based on Thursday’s closing levels, gold continues to trade above the Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams mark, although prices have eased slightly from recent highs.

Among the major Indian cities, Chennai recorded the highest gold prices on October 3, with 24-karat gold priced at Rs 1,50,710 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold at Rs 1,38,151 per 10 grams, while silver (999 Fine) was quoted at Rs 2,26,840 per kg.
In Hyderabad, 24-karat gold was priced at Rs 1,50,510 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold at Rs 1,37,968, with silver at Rs 2,26,540 per kg. Bengaluru recorded 24-karat gold at Rs 1,50,390 per 10 grams, 22-karat gold at Rs 1,37,858, and silver at Rs 2,26,360 per kg.
In Mumbai, 24-karat gold was available at Rs 1,50,270 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold at Rs 1,37,748, while silver was priced at Rs 2,26,180 per kg. Gold prices in Kolkata stood at Rs 1,50,080 for 24-karat and Rs 1,37,573 for 22-karat gold, with silver at Rs 2,25,880 per kg.
Meanwhile, New Delhi recorded the lowest prices among these cities, with 24-karat gold at Rs1,50,020 per 10 grams, 22-karat gold at Rs 1,37,518, and silver at Rs 2,25,790 per kg.
