The lunar eclipse will be visible in many cities across India today. The moon will rise first in Arunachal Pradesh, where the lunar eclipse will already be underway. The lunar eclipse will be visible in Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh, at 5:03 pm.

New and auspicious tasks should be avoided during the lunar eclipse.

Bath and donations should be made during the Sutak period and the eclipse period.

Chanting mantras and reciting stotras are considered very beneficial.

After the lunar eclipse or at sunrise the next day, one should bathe and donate to a worthy Brahmin.

The longest duration of the lunar eclipse will be visible here in India.

The Sutak period for the first lunar eclipse of the year has begun, and the rules of Sutak will now be valid until 6:47 pm. According to the scriptures, it is best to chant mentally from the Sutak period until the eclipse ends.

One should adopt a virtuous and restrained life during the Sutak period. Digging the ground and eating other people’s food during the eclipse are also prohibited in the scriptures.
