Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara and Deepavali: Special train from Bengaluru

Ganesh Chaturthi: To clear the passenger rush during the upcoming Dasara and Deepavali festivals, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced several special trains from Bengaluru to various destinations.

Here are some of the special trains announced for the festive season:

SMVT Bengaluru – Gomti Nagar Weekly Express Special (Train No. 06529/06530):

This train will run from SMVT Bengaluru to Gomti Nagar every Monday from August 25 to November 3, 2025.

The return service will depart from Gomti Nagar every Friday from August 29 to November 7, 2025.

The train will stop at stations including Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, and Miraj, catering to passengers traveling towards Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

Yesvantpur – Belagavi Dasara Special Trains:

Special trains are operating between Yesvantpur and Belagavi to manage the Dussehra rush.

Train No. 06505 and 06507 will depart from Yesvantpur on specific dates in October 2024.

The return trains, No. 06506 and 06508, will run from Belagavi to Yesvantpur.

Mysuru – Vijayapura and Yesvantpur – Belagavi Deepavali Specials:

SWR is operating special trains between Mysuru and Vijayapura, and Yesvantpur and Belagavi for Deepavali.

These services will run on various dates in late October and early November 2024.

Bengaluru – Kalaburagi Express Special:

A special train will run between Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Kalaburagi.

The Bengaluru to Kalaburagi train is scheduled for October 30 and November 2, 2024.

The return journey from Kalaburagi to Bengaluru will run on October 31 and November 3, 2024.

Yeshwanthpur – Mangaluru Junction Special:

A special train service has been announced between Yeshwanthpur and Mangaluru Junction for Deepavali on October 30 and 31.

The train will depart from Yeshwanthpur on October 30 and the return service will leave from Mangaluru Junction on October 31.
