Deadly Gujarat Bus Collision Leaves Six Dead After Vehicle Catches Fire

A tragic bus accident near Bardoli in Gujarat claimed six lives and left more than twenty passengers injured after a collision triggered a fire and large scale rescue efforts.

A devastating road accident in Gujarat’s Surat district has resulted in the deaths of at least six passengers, while more than twenty others sustained serious injuries. Authorities fear the death toll could rise as several victims remain in critical condition at nearby hospitals.

The accident occurred near Uva village close to Bardoli when two state transport buses collided. According to preliminary information, one of the buses lost control following the impact, crossed the road divider, and overturned on the opposite side of the highway.

Moments after overturning, the damaged vehicle caught fire and was quickly engulfed in flames. The intensity of the blaze caused severe damage to the bus, making rescue operations more challenging for emergency teams.

Local residents reported that the crash took place shortly after 4 pm. Police personnel, rescue workers, and firefighters rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. Their coordinated efforts helped evacuate several passengers trapped inside the vehicles.

Officials confirmed that many of the passengers involved in the accident were residents of Maharashtra. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment, while authorities continued rescue and recovery operations at the site.
