The school’s summer vacation has been extended to July in many parts of the country for the benefit of students in the wake of the increasing temperature. But there is a spread of false rumors on the social network that this is applicable to all states. The Karnataka School Education Department has finally given clarification.
What does the Department of Education say? The message is also circulated at the WhatsApp Group of Teachers, students and Parents. However, there is no difference during the summer holidays in the state. The Department of Education has made it clear that all state schools will reopen from May 29.
The Department of School Education and Literacy has already released a notification on the beginning of the academic year. The schedule has already been released and the educational activity of government, aided and unaided schools in the state curriculum will continue. Students and parents should not listen to any rumors. CBSE and ICSE boards have their own list.
According to the schedule, the academic year 2025-26 will be from May 29 to April 2026. There will be 123 holidays and 242 school activities, including middle/Dasara leave, summer vacation, 365 days of the year. Accordingly, schools will start on May 29. Headmasters and teachers must attend schools that day. Also, a school celebration should be held on May 30.
