Lecturer found charred in arecanut plantation in Shivamogga, murder suspected

Shivamogga, : In a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns, the charred body of a private college lecturer was found in an arecanut plantation near Hanumanthapura, close to Holehonnur in Shivamogga district. The mysterious death has triggered a detailed police investigation, with initial suspicions pointing towards possible foul play.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh Kumar, who was working as a lecturer at a private college in Shivamogga. According to preliminary information, he had left his house on Saturday, informing his family that he was heading to attend a wedding function. However, he did not return home, which raised concerns among his relatives.

On Sunday morning, locals noticed a fire in the arecanut plantation owned by the deceased. Upon closer inspection, they found a body burning and immediately alerted the police.
