Husband files complaint alleging harassment and coercion by wife in Bengaluru

Bengaluru : A disturbing case of alleged harassment within a marriage has come to light in Bengaluru, where a man has approached police accusing his wife of mental cruelty and coercive behaviour. The complaint has been registered at the Amruthahalli Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway.

According to the complaint, the husband has alleged that he was subjected to continuous psychological harassment and pressure over certain personal demands made by his wife. He claimed that her behaviour had caused him severe distress, forcing him to seek legal intervention.

In his statement to the police, the complainant alleged that his wife would send inappropriate content and insist on engaging in activities that made him uncomfortable. He further stated that she allegedly pressured him to involve third parties in their personal relationship, which he strongly opposed. When he refused, he claims he faced repeated harassment and emotional abuse.

The husband also alleged that his wife would frequently justify her actions as β€œnormal” behaviour, including late-night outings and socialising habits, which led to frequent disputes between the couple. He stated that these differences escalated over time, making it difficult for him to continue the relationship peacefully.

Additionally, the complainant has claimed that he had given gold ornaments and valuables to his wife before discovering these issues, and she has allegedly refused to return them. This has added to his grievances, prompting him to formally approach the police.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint, and further inquiry is in progress. Authorities are expected to examine both sides of the matter before taking any legal action.

The incident highlights the complexities of domestic disputes and the importance of addressing complaints from all parties involved through due legal process.
