Dharmasthala Case Big Twist: Home Minister made important order
Dharmasthala case Big Twist: Following an escalation in the political rhetoric surrounding the Dharmasthala case, Karnataka’s Home Minister, G. Parameshwara, has indeed ordered the police to take legal action against activist Mahesh Shetty Thimarody.
This move comes after Thimarody reportedly made a statement alleging that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is responsible for 24 murders. Home Minister Parameshwara, speaking on the floor of the Legislative Assembly on August 18, confirmed that he has directed the police to register a case against Mahesh Shetty Thimarody and proceed with his arrest.
The order is a direct response to Thimarody’s statement, which the government deems as defamatory and a serious allegation against the Chief Minister. The Home Minister’s order is a significant development in the political “mega-fight” between the Congress and the BJP.
While the BJP has been demanding Thimarody’s arrest for allegedly defaming the Dharmasthala temple, the Congress government is now acting on a different set of allegations made by Thimarody himself, those against the Chief Minister. This highlights the high-stakes nature of the political confrontation, with both parties using the Dharmasthala case to score points against each other.
It’s important to note that this isn’t the first time Mahesh Shetty Thimarody has faced legal action. He has a history of facing defamation cases, including one filed by the Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala temple, Dr. Veerendra Heggade, in 2014. These past instances indicate a long-standing pattern of conflict between the activist and the Dharmasthala administration.

The police have been instructed to file a formal case and proceed with the necessary legal steps. The situation remains highly volatile, with both the Dharmasthala case investigation and the political clashes surrounding it continuing to unfold.
