Woman brutally murdered, body dumped near bus stop in Kengeri

Bengaluru : A shocking murder has come to light in Kengeri area of Bengaluru, where a 45-year-old woman was brutally killed and her body dumped in a garbage heap, triggering panic among local residents.
The deceased has been identified as Kempamma, a resident of Mahadeshwara Layout. The incident occurred behind the Mysandra bus stop on the Kengeri main road. According to police, unidentified assailants murdered the woman and disposed of her body near the roadside, possibly in an attempt to destroy evidence.
The crime came to light early in the morning when passersby noticed a body lying in a garbage pile and immediately alerted the police through the emergency helpline. Personnel from Kengeri Police Station rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
Preliminary findings suggest that the woman was killed by hitting her on the head with a heavy object. Bloodstains found at the scene indicate the attack was brutal. However, it is yet to be determined whether the murder took place at the same spot or if the body was dumped there after the crime.
A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory also visited the scene and collected crucial evidence, including fingerprints and other forensic samples. The body has been shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have informed the victim’s family and are probing multiple angles, including personal enmity and financial disputes. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the accused.
The incident has caused fear among residents in the otherwise busy locality. Police have registered a case and intensified efforts to trace those responsible.
