Massive Fire in Bengaluru: 1 dead, 3 feared trapped

Massive Fire in Bengaluru: A massive fire has broken out in a commercial building in Nagarathpet, an area near Bengaluru’s KR Market, with one person confirmed dead and three others from the same family feared to be trapped.

According to reports from Saturday morning, the fire erupted late Friday night in a commercial complex, quickly spreading through the building. The deceased has been identified as Madan Singh, a native of Rajasthan, who was residing with his family on the third floor of the building.

Authorities believe his wife and two children, aged 8 and 5, may also have perished in the blaze, though this has not been officially confirmed. Fire and emergency services have deployed 18 fire tenders to the scene.

However, rescue operations have been challenging due to the narrow lanes in the area, which have made it difficult for vehicles to reach the building. Firefighters, using oxygen cylinders, are continuing their search for the missing family members.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with initial reports suggesting it may have originated in a plastic mat shop on a lower floor before spreading. Three ambulances are on standby at the site to transport any victims to a nearby hospital. The police have cordoned off the area to facilitate the rescue efforts.
