States with Heavy Rain Alerts:

Uttarakhand: A red alert for extremely heavy rainfall (over 21 cm) is in effect for some areas, with a high risk of landslides and road closures.

Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir: Heavy rainfall is predicted, which could trigger landslides.

Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh: Heavy rainfall is expected, accompanied by strong winds (40-50 km/h).

Western Uttar Pradesh: An alert for heavy rainfall has been issued, with a possibility of waterlogging and traffic problems.

Eastern Rajasthan: Heavy rainfall is predicted from August 15 to 17.

Madhya Pradesh: An orange alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for districts like Narmadapuram, Chhindwara, Betul, and Narsinghpur.

Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha: Heavy rainfall is expected, with a likely rise in river water levels.

Telangana: Very heavy rainfall is possible, and fishermen have been advised not to go out to sea.

Kerala and Coastal Karnataka: Heavy rainfall with strong winds is expected, and a warning of high waves has been issued for coastal areas.

Delhi-NCR: The capital is expected to have a cloudy sky with light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms. While no major alerts have been issued for heavy rain in Delhi itself, the overcast conditions and intermittent showers may lead to waterlogging and traffic jams.

Kolkata: The city is forecasted to experience patchy rainfall and high humidity.

Bengaluru: The city is set to have a mild and rainy day with overcast skies and occasional drizzles.
