FIR filed against Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja

Dhruva Sarja: An FIR has been filed against Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja in Mumbai’s Amboli police station. The complaint was lodged by director and producer Raghavendra Hegde, who alleges that Sarja cheated him out of Rs 9.58 crore.

According to the complaint, Sarja allegedly took Rs 3 crore from Hegde in 2018 for a film project titled “The Soldier” but never started the film. Hegde claims that with an 18% interest rate, his losses have now escalated to over Rs 9.58 crore.

In response to the complaint, the Amboli police registered a case against Dhruva Sarja under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal breach of trust and cheating.

Sarja had initially been issued a summon to appear before the police, but he failed to do so and instead obtained a 10-day transit anticipatory bail from a court in Bengaluru. He has since filed for anticipatory bail at the Dindoshi Sessions Court in Mumbai, and the matter is scheduled to be heard on August 14, 2025.

Dhruva Sarja has several upcoming projects, with the most highly anticipated one being “KD – The Devil.” The film is scheduled to be released on September 4, 2025. It is an action drama set in 1970s Bengaluru, exploring the city’s underworld scene and is reportedly inspired by real-life incidents.

Besides Dhruva Sarja in the lead role, the film features a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, and Ramesh Aravind. The movie is directed by Prem.
