Salman Khan to Move Out of Long Time Mumbai Residence Amid Ongoing Security Concerns

Bollywood star Salman Khan is preparing to leave his longtime Bandra home and relocate to a newly planned residence designed with stronger security following repeated threats and past firing incidents.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is set to leave the Mumbai residence that has been his home for nearly five decades as he plans to move into a newly constructed building offering enhanced security for himself and his family.

The decision comes after a series of security threats allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor has faced repeated death threats in recent years, and a firing incident outside his Bandra residence further raised concerns about his safety. These developments reportedly influenced his decision to relocate.

The new residential project will be developed in the Chimbai area of Bandra, close to his current address. Authorities have already granted the necessary approvals for the construction. The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority recently cleared the proposal, allowing work on the project to begin soon.

The planned building will stand on a 1,014 square metre plot and will include a ground floor, stilt parking and six additional floors. Salman Khan is expected to live there with his family once the construction is completed, ensuring better security arrangements compared to the existing residence.

The actor has lived at Galaxy Apartments since 1974, making it one of the most iconic celebrity addresses in Mumbai. While the move marks the end of an era, the new residence is expected to provide a safer and more secure environment in light of the ongoing threats.

Salman Khan already receives Y Plus category security from the government. Even with that protection, the repeated threats and security incidents have reportedly prompted the family to invest in a residence with advanced safety measures.
