IMD Issued heavy rainfall alert in these states for next 7 days
IMD Issued heavy rainfall alert: Heavy rains have started across the country. Heavy rains in the northeastern states have led to flooding in many places. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain.
According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall is likely in most places of Northeast India in the next 7 days. According to the IMD, strong winds and lightning are expected during the rains at many places. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya from June 09-12.

IMD Issued heavy rainfall likely over Tripura on June 06 and 07 and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during June 09-11. According to the Meteorological Department, light/moderate rainfall is likely to continue at some places in West Bengal and Sikkim for the next 7 days.
Light/moderate rainfall with thunder, lightning and strong winds gusting to 40-50 kmph is likely at a few places in Madhya Pradesh on June 06 and 07. Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha during June 06-10; West Bengal, Bihar along the Gangetic plains on June 06, Bihar, Jharkhand during June 10-12.
Light/moderate rainfall is likely at isolated places over East Rajasthan during June 06-08. Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh on June 11 and 12.

Dust storms (speed 30-40 kmph) are likely to occur in western Rajasthan during June 08-10. Light/moderate rainfall is likely at many places over Kerala and Mahe, and coastal Karnataka in the next 7 days.
Light/moderate rainfall is likely at isolated/scattered places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka during June 06-10, accompanied by thundershowers, lightning and squalls reaching speed reaching 30-40 kmph.
