The RBI has asked all banks and white-label ATM operators to be kept in their ATMs. By September 30, it was announced that the country’s 75 percent ATMs had 10-rupees and 200-rupees notes. The RBI aims to reduce the propagation of 500-rupee notes. However, the demand for banning this note has increased rapidly.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had demanded a ban of Rs 500 a few days ago. The Naidu government has demanded the introduction of digital currency. Now everyone’s eyes are the decision of the central government. It is said that banning a 500 note promotes digital payments.
As such, most populations in India now make digital payments. While shopping in malls, markets and other showrooms, people are finding it safe to pay through Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm.
100 and 200 rupee notes are getting a boost:
The decision was taken by the RBI to provide good access to notes in use. All banks and white-label ATM operators ensure that their ATMs can be distributed regularly by 100- and 200-rupee notes. There is also work to be done to implement the RBI decision.
