POCO X8 Series Launches With Up To 10000mAh Battery And Tough Build
POCO X8 series launches in India with huge batteries, AMOLED displays, fast charging, powerful Snapdragon processors, multiple protection ratings and extended software support for smartphone buyers.

POCO has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with two new models aimed at users who want a large battery without giving up performance and display quality. The company has launched the POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power as part of its new X8 series, with both phones bringing high capacity silicon carbon batteries, AMOLED screens and several durability features.
The biggest difference between the two models is their battery capacity. The POCO X8 comes with a 9000mAh silicon carbon battery, while the more expensive POCO X8 Power takes that figure to an impressive 10000mAh. The Power model also gets 100W Xiaomi HyperCharge, whereas the standard version supports 67W charging.
Both smartphones use a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 by 1280 pixels. The panels support refresh rates of up to 120Hz, making scrolling, video playback and supported games feel smoother. The large screens also give the phones a more spacious viewing area for entertainment and everyday use.
Performance comes from different Snapdragon platforms. The POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 mobile platform and is available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The POCO X8 Power moves to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 mobile platform and uses LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 4.1 storage. It also offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
POCO has put considerable emphasis on durability with the new X8 series. Both smartphones feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection ratings. This combination is intended to provide greater resistance against dust and water exposure in everyday situations.
The standard POCO X8 comes with a 50MP primary rear camera. It features optical image stabilisation, an f/1.8 aperture and a 5P lens. A 2MP depth sensor is also included for portrait photography. The camera application offers options such as HDR, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, Ultra HD Mode, Live Moments and Dual Video.
For selfies and video calls, the POCO X8 has a 16MP front camera. Features including Portrait, HDR, Live Moments and AI Beautify are available on the front camera.
The POCO X8 Power gets a different camera setup. Its main rear camera also uses a 50MP sensor, but it comes with a wider f/1.5 aperture and a 6P lens. The phone also adds an 8MP ultrawide camera, giving users more flexibility when capturing landscapes, groups and wider scenes.
The X8 Power includes features such as automatic scene detection and 2X in sensor ultra clear zoom. Another notable feature is its video capability. Both the rear camera and 32MP front camera can record 4K video at up to 30 frames per second.
Audio has not been overlooked either. Both phones feature dual stereo speakers and support Dolby Atmos and Hi Res Audio. POCO says the standard X8 can provide up to 300 percent volume boost, while the X8 Power can increase volume by up to 400 percent.
Software is handled by Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. POCO has also promised four years of Android updates and six years of security patches for both smartphones. This extended support could make the new models more appealing to buyers who intend to keep their phones for several years.
The pricing puts the two models in different parts of the premium mid range segment. The POCO X8 has been launched at Rs 29,999, while the POCO X8 Power costs Rs 35,999.
POCO is offering launch benefits that can bring down the effective purchase price. Buyers can receive a Rs 2,000 coupon discount along with either a Rs 1,000 bank offer or an exchange bonus. With these benefits, the effective prices can fall to Rs 26,999 for the POCO X8 and Rs 32,999 for the POCO X8 Power, depending on the applicable offer.
The company is also providing a 12 month no cost EMI option. The monthly plans start at Rs 2,250 for the POCO X8 and Rs 2,750 for the POCO X8 Power.
Both smartphones will go on sale in India from September 11, 2026, at 12 noon through Flipkart. The combination of very large batteries, high refresh rate AMOLED screens, fast charging and strong protection ratings makes the new X8 series particularly focused on users who want endurance and durability from their daily smartphone.
