RRB Announces 6565 Railway Technician Vacancies Across India for 2026 Recruitment Drive
The Railway Recruitment Board has released a major recruitment notification for 6565 Technician posts across India, offering opportunities for eligible candidates to apply online from June 30 onwards.

Job seekers looking for government employment have received a major boost as the Railway Recruitment Board has announced a large scale recruitment drive for Technician positions across various railway zones in the country. The notification aims to fill thousands of vacancies and is expected to attract candidates from different educational backgrounds.
According to the recruitment announcement, a total of 6565 Technician posts will be filled through this selection process. Out of these, 323 vacancies are available for Technician Grade 1 Signal positions, while 6242 posts have been allotted for Technician Grade 3 roles. Candidates selected through the recruitment process will be posted in railway regions located across India.
The available positions are spread across several RRB zones, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Patna, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and many other railway divisions. Successful applicants will be assigned duties based on organizational requirements in these regions.
Online registration for the recruitment process is scheduled to begin on June 30. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications through the official recruitment portal. The application window will remain open until July 29, 2026.
Candidates applying for these posts should have passed Class 10 along with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Applicants possessing a diploma, degree, or BSc qualification in the concerned discipline may also be eligible depending on the post requirements mentioned in the detailed notification.
The prescribed age limit varies by category. Applicants for Technician Grade 1 Signal posts should be between 18 and 33 years of age. For Technician Grade 3 positions, candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old. Age relaxation benefits will be applicable as per government norms.
The selection process will include a computer based test followed by document verification and a medical examination. Final appointments will be made based on performance in all stages of the recruitment process.
Selected candidates will receive attractive salaries under the railway pay structure. Technician Grade 1 Signal employees will receive a monthly salary of Rs 29200, while Technician Grade 3 recruits will be paid Rs 19900 per month.
