DK Shivakumar Takes Oath as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka

DK Shivakumar solemnly swore the oath in the name of Veera Gangadhara Ajjayya.

Bengaluru: DK Shivakumar has officially taken the oath of office as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka. In a grand ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Chief Minister.

DK Shivakumar solemnly swore the oath in the name of Veera Gangadhara Ajjayya. Attired in a traditional silk panche, jubba, and shalya, Shivakumar’s classic traditional look grabbed everyone’s attention.

Dignitaries and VVIPs Attend the Ceremony:

The swearing-in ceremony was graced by a host of top dignitaries, political stalwarts, and VVIPs. From the top Congress leadership, the event was attended by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, and Karnataka Congress In-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala.

A prominent lineup of Chief Ministers and senior leaders also marked their presence, including Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Kerala Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan, along with senior Congress leaders B.K. Hariprasad, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Rajeev Shukla.

Additionally, influential state leaders, including former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and several newly elected representatives, were present to witness the historic moment.

The event saw diverse representation from various fields extending far beyond the political circle. Several spiritual leaders, including prominent Mathadhishas (seers), Moulvis, and Church heads, attended and blessed the historic occasion.

The gathering also included celebrated movie stars alongside close members of DK Shivakumar’s family who came to witness the ceremony. Additionally, the presence of suspended BJP MLAs Shivaram Hebbar and S.T. Somashekar at the venue caught everyone’s attention and became a major talking point of the event.
