BL Santhosh meets BS Yediyurappa in Bengaluru, discusses party strategy

Bengaluru : Senior BJP leader B. L. Santhosh on Saturday met veteran leader B. S. Yediyurappa at his residence in Bengaluru, holding discussions on party affairs and recent political developments.

The meeting comes at a significant time as Yediyurappa marks 50 years in active politics. Santhosh visited his residence and shared breakfast with the senior leader, a gesture seen as both personal and political.

Speaking after the meeting, Yediyurappa expressed happiness over the visit. He said that Santhosh’s organisational capabilities at the national level have been a source of inspiration for party workers across the country. “He extended his wishes on the completion of my 50 years in public life. His leadership and strategic thinking have strengthened the party at the grassroots and national levels,” Yediyurappa said.

Debate on elections and party outlook
The leaders also discussed the recently concluded Assembly elections in five states. Yediyurappa expressed confidence that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will continue to perform strongly across the country.

Political observers view the meeting as part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the party’s base in Karnataka ahead of future electoral challenges.

Preparations for major BJP event
Meanwhile, the BJP is gearing up for a major show of strength in Chitradurga on May 9, where a large-scale ‘Yediyurappa Abhimanotsava’ rally is being organised. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the event, which aims to mobilise around 10 lakh supporters.

The developments indicate renewed political activity within the BJP in Karnataka, with senior leaders engaging closely to strengthen the party’s organisational and electoral strategies.
