Pakistan’s Senior Leader’s Threatening Remarks Fuel Cross-Border Tensions, India Rejects Claims
Islamabad: Another evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in cross-border terrorism has surfaced, as a senior Pakistani leader, Chaudhary Anwarul Haq, made alarming statements regarding the support of terror groups targeting India.
In a recent video statement, Haq claimed that Pakistani militants, operating from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir, have infiltrated India, causing violence.
Haq’s statement came in the wake of the deadly car bomb explosion near the historical Red Fort on November 10, which resulted in 14 deaths. He referenced the incident as part of a larger pattern of attacks originating from Pakistan, allegedly orchestrated by militant groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), with mastermind Dr. Umar Nabi is reportedly involved in planning such operations.
In his remarks, Haq recalled the 2019 attack in the forests of Kashmir’s Pahalgam region, where militants gunned down 26 tourists. He specifically referred to Kashmir as a region where Pakistan-backed terrorists had targeted civilian areas in the past, further emphasizing the aggressive stance taken by militant groups operating in Pakistan.
The video, which has gone viral, also featured Haq stating, “While Baluchistan bleeds, we are also striking India from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By Allah’s blessing, we have done so, and the Indian authorities still haven’t counted the bodies.
Soon after, armed men will enter Delhi.” His statement came across as a chilling proclamation of continued aggression by Pakistani militants, implicating direct involvement in cross-border terrorism.
India’s Denial and Rejection of Pakistan’s Claims:
The Indian government has vehemently denied Pakistan’s claims and rejected Haq’s provocative statement. In response, the Indian government accused Pakistan of using these statements to deflect attention from its internal issues, particularly the economic crisis and unrest in Baluchistan, while continuing to sponsor terrorism in the region. India strongly condemned Pakistan for repeatedly making baseless allegations against India to distract from its own mounting domestic problems.
An official spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “Pakistan continues to use cross-border terrorism as a tool to destabilize the region and deflect from its own economic and political turmoil. These baseless accusations and hostile rhetoric are part of Pakistan’s ongoing attempt to malign India’s image internationally.”
The statement comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, as both countries remain embroiled in a long-standing territorial dispute over Kashmir. Pakistan has often been accused by India and the international community of providing sanctuary to various militant groups that target Indian territory, a claim that Pakistan consistently denies.
