Reliance Jio Launches JioTag 2 With Android and iPhone Support at Affordable Price

Reliance Jio has launched JioTag 2 with dual platform compatibility offering seamless tracking through Google Find Hub and Apple Find My networks for everyday belongings nationwide.

Reliance Jio has expanded its smart accessories portfolio in India with the launch of the second generation JioTag Bluetooth tracker. The new device is designed to help users locate frequently misplaced belongings such as keys, wallets, handbags, backpacks and other valuable items. Unlike the previous generation, the latest JioTag 2 introduces compatibility with both Android and iPhone devices, making it a more versatile option for a wider range of smartphone users.

One of the biggest highlights of the new JioTag 2 is its support for both the Google Find Hub and Apple Find My ecosystems. This dual platform compatibility marks a significant improvement over the earlier version, which did not provide seamless support across both operating systems. As a result, users can now track their belongings regardless of whether they use an Android smartphone or an iPhone.

The launch comes at a time when Bluetooth trackers are becoming increasingly popular among consumers who want a simple solution to prevent the loss of everyday essentials. Small items such as house keys, office bags, travel luggage and wallets are commonly misplaced, and products like the JioTag 2 aim to reduce the inconvenience by offering real time location tracking and easy recovery options.

Reliance Jio has introduced the JioTag 2 in three colour options including Black, Red and Green. The tracker is available for purchase through Amazon India. The official launch price has been set at Rs 1249. As part of the introductory offer, customers using eligible bank cards can receive an instant discount of up to Rs 50, bringing the effective purchase price down to Rs 1199.

The most notable enhancement in the latest version is its ability to function within both major mobile ecosystems. Users can link the tracker to Google’s Find Hub on Android devices or Apple’s Find My network on iPhones. Once paired, the tracker allows owners to locate attached items directly from their smartphones. Even when the tracker moves beyond Bluetooth range, its location can still be updated using the supported device networks, making recovery easier.

This network assisted tracking capability ensures that users are not limited by the normal Bluetooth operating distance. If an item goes missing outside direct Bluetooth coverage, the last available location can still be viewed through the supported tracking platform. This greatly improves the chances of finding lost belongings, especially in crowded public places or during travel.

For situations where the tagged object is nearby but difficult to spot, JioTag 2 includes a built in speaker capable of producing a loud 120 decibel sound. By activating the alarm through the companion application, users can quickly locate hidden items inside a room, under furniture or inside luggage. The loud audio output is intended to make the tracker easy to hear even in relatively noisy environments.

The physical design of the new tracker has also received attention. JioTag 2 features a polycarbonate body that offers durability while keeping the device lightweight. The tracker has received an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust and minor water splashes. This makes it suitable for everyday outdoor use and helps ensure reliable performance under normal weather conditions.

Although Reliance Jio has confirmed several hardware improvements, the company has not yet shared complete details regarding the battery specifications. Information about battery capacity, expected battery life and replacement options has not been officially disclosed. More technical details may become available as the product reaches more consumers.

The updated design focuses on practicality and ease of use. The compact size allows users to attach the tracker to keychains, backpacks, handbags, luggage or wallets without adding noticeable bulk. Since many people carry multiple personal items every day, the small form factor makes it convenient for routine use.

The addition of support for both Android and iOS significantly increases the appeal of the product. Previously, users were often limited by platform compatibility when choosing a Bluetooth tracker. With JioTag 2 supporting both ecosystems, households using different smartphone brands can use the same tracking accessory without compatibility concerns.

Bluetooth tracking devices have become increasingly important as consumers rely on carrying multiple gadgets and personal belongings throughout the day. Losing a bag during travel or misplacing important keys at home can cause unnecessary stress and wasted time. By offering instant alerts, map based tracking and audible location assistance, products like JioTag 2 are becoming practical tools for daily life.

The integration with Google Find Hub and Apple Find My also brings added confidence because both platforms already maintain large device networks capable of assisting in locating missing items. This network based approach extends the usefulness of the tracker far beyond the limitations of direct Bluetooth connectivity.

Jio’s pricing strategy also places the product in the affordable segment of the Bluetooth tracker market. With an effective introductory price below Rs 1200 for eligible buyers, the company appears to be targeting users looking for an economical alternative without sacrificing compatibility across mobile platforms.

The launch reflects Reliance Jio’s continued expansion beyond telecom services into consumer electronics and smart accessories. By combining broad platform support, a loud built in speaker, durable construction and location tracking through major ecosystems, the company aims to make JioTag 2 an attractive choice for users who frequently misplace essential belongings.

As Bluetooth tracking devices continue to gain popularity, the JioTag 2 enters the Indian market with features designed to address common everyday problems. Whether attached to keys, luggage, wallets or office bags, the new tracker offers a practical solution that combines affordability with modern tracking capabilities for both Android and iPhone users.
