Oppo Launches A6k in China With Massive 7000mAh Battery and 5G Support

The Oppo A6k offers a large 6.75 inch display 120Hz refresh rate MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and up to 7000mAh battery aiming for smooth performance in the budget 5G segment

Oppo has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, the Oppo A6k, in China under its A series lineup. The device emphasizes long battery life and smooth performance, catering to users looking for affordable 5G options with reliable hardware.

The A6k features a 6.75 inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels. Despite being an HD+ panel, it supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling, with local brightness up to 900 nits and peak brightness reaching 1125 nits, making it suitable for outdoor viewing and gaming.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The A6k supports 5G connectivity, delivering smooth performance for daily tasks and online applications.

Battery life is one of the standout features, with a 7000mAh unit capable of lasting more than a day under regular usage. The phone also supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging and UFCS standards, allowing quick recharges to keep users connected throughout the day.

The camera setup includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2 megapixel monochrome lens on the rear. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8 megapixel front camera. Security is handled via a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for easy and convenient access.

Oppo is offering the A6k in three color options: Dawn Gold, Twilight Blue, and Seashell White. Pricing in China starts at 1999 yuan (approximately 27,000 INR) for the 8GB + 256GB model, 2199 yuan (around 29,700 INR) for the 8GB + 512GB variant, and 2399 yuan (about 32,400 INR) for the 12GB + 256GB version.

With this launch, Oppo aims to strengthen its presence in the budget 5G segment, combining a massive battery, smooth display performance, and capable hardware to appeal to a wide range of users looking for value driven smartphones.
