OnePlus Nord CE 6 Takes on Motorola Edge 70 Fusion and Vivo Y400 5G in Mid Range Battle
OnePlus Motorola and Vivo are competing aggressively in the mid range smartphone market with premium displays powerful processors fast charging and camera focused features attracting buyers across India today

The mid range smartphone segment in India has become more competitive with the arrival of the OnePlus Nord CE 6. The newly launched device is directly challenging rivals like the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion and Vivo Y400 5G, all of which are targeting users looking for premium features without entering flagship pricing territory.
Each smartphone brings a different strength to the table. While OnePlus is focusing heavily on battery life and gaming performance, Motorola is attracting users with its curved display and balanced camera setup. Vivo, on the other hand, is aiming at buyers who want modern features at a relatively affordable price.
Starting with pricing, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is available in two variants. The 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at 29999 rupees, while the 256GB version costs 32999 rupees. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion also comes in multiple configurations, starting at 26999 rupees for the 8GB and 128GB model. Its 8GB and 256GB variant costs 29999 rupees, while the top end 12GB and 256GB option is priced at 32999 rupees. Vivo Y400 5G remains the most affordable among the three with pricing beginning at 25999 rupees for the 128GB model and 27999 rupees for the 256GB version.
Display quality is one area where all three brands are trying to stand out. OnePlus Nord CE 6 features a 6.78 inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also supports advanced PWM dimming for improved eye comfort during extended usage. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion offers a similarly sized 6.78 inch quad curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an impressive peak brightness of up to 5200 nits, making outdoor visibility one of its major highlights. Vivo Y400 5G comes with a slightly smaller 6.67 inch Full HD Plus AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness.
Performance is another important area where the phones differ. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which is designed for balanced gaming and multitasking. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion also uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, delivering similar performance levels for daily usage and gaming. Vivo Y400 5G uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which is comparatively less powerful but focuses more on efficiency and routine smartphone tasks.
Software experience may also influence buyers. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 operates on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, offering a clean and smooth user interface. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion runs on Hello UI based on Android 16, while Vivo Y400 5G works on Funtouch OS 15 built over Android 15.
Camera performance continues to be a major deciding factor in this segment. OnePlus Nord CE 6 includes a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization support along with a 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front, users get a 32MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion appears slightly more versatile with a 50MP OIS enabled primary sensor, a 13MP ultra wide lens, and additional macro and depth sensors. Vivo Y400 5G features a simpler setup with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor, paired with a 32MP front camera.
Battery life has become one of the strongest selling points for these smartphones. OnePlus Nord CE 6 leads with a massive 8000mAh battery supported by 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion packs a 7000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support, while Vivo Y400 5G includes a 6000mAh battery paired with 90W wired fast charging technology.
Connectivity features are modern across all three smartphones. OnePlus offers 5G support, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type C connectivity. Motorola Edge 70 Fusion includes Bluetooth 6.0, NFC support, and 5G connectivity. Vivo Y400 5G also supports 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG, and USB Type C ports.
For buyers focused on gaming and battery backup, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 may appear as the strongest option. Users who prefer premium display aesthetics and camera flexibility could lean toward the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. Meanwhile, Vivo Y400 5G may appeal to customers seeking a more budget friendly smartphone with balanced specifications and fast charging support.
With all three brands competing aggressively in the same segment, consumers now have multiple strong choices depending on their priorities, whether it is performance, display quality, battery endurance, or camera experience.
