Honor Expands Budget Lineup with X5d Plus and X5d Featuring Large Battery and Modern Features
Honor launches two budget smartphones in Malaysia with 5260mAh battery, dual rear cameras, MediaTek chipset, and Android 15 based MagicOS providing value and essential performance for everyday users

Honor has unveiled two new additions to its budget smartphone lineup in Malaysia, the Honor X5d Plus and Honor X5d. Both devices are designed to deliver reliable performance while offering impressive battery life for long daily usage.
The X5d Plus and X5d are powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core processor, paired with ARM Mali G52 MC2 GPU. The X5d Plus comes with 128GB of internal storage, while the X5d offers 64GB. Both devices are equipped with 4GB of RAM, ensuring smooth operation for essential tasks and moderate multitasking. They run on Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9.0, providing a familiar and user-friendly interface.
A standout feature of both smartphones is their 5260mAh battery, supported by 15W wired fast charging. This ensures users can comfortably go through a full day of use without frequent recharging, while the fast charging option allows quick top-ups when needed.
Display-wise, both models feature a 6.74-inch TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels, offering decent clarity and brightness for everyday media consumption and browsing. The devices come in Midnight Black and Tidal Blue color options, giving users a choice in aesthetics.
The camera setup differs between the two models. The X5d Plus features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, while the X5d has a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture along with a secondary QVGA sensor. Both phones include a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls, ensuring adequate imaging performance for social media and communication needs.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS. For security, both models come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phones have a slim design with dimensions of 167 millimeters in length, 77 millimeters in width, and 7.89 millimeters in thickness, weighing around 186 grams.
Pricing for these budget-friendly devices starts at approximately MYR 369 (around 9,000 INR) for the Honor X5d and MYR 459 (around 11,000 INR) for the X5d Plus. They are currently available through Honor’s official online store in Malaysia, offering a strong combination of performance, battery life, and essential features for users looking for value-oriented smartphones.
