HMD 102 4G Pro May Launch With 1200mAh Battery And IP52 Rating
HMD is reportedly preparing a new budget feature phone with 4G connectivity, a larger battery, USB C charging and a 2 inch display, according to leaked specifications.
HMD appears to be preparing another affordable feature phone, with the HMD 102 4G Pro reportedly in development as an upgraded version of the HMD 102 4G.
The upcoming model has surfaced through leaked specifications shared by tipster Smashx_60 on X. HMD has not officially announced the device yet, so the reported specifications should be treated as unconfirmed for now.
The biggest change could be the battery
The HMD 102 4G Pro is expected to feature a 1200mAh battery. That would be an upgrade over the 1000mAh removable battery found on the existing HMD 102 4G.
The new model is also tipped to support USB C charging, which would bring a more modern charging connection to the budget feature phone segment.
A 2 inch LCD display is expected
According to the leak, the phone could feature a 2 inch QQVGA LCD display. It may run on the S30 Plus operating system and could use a Unisoc 8910FF S processor.
Memory options are reportedly expected to include 24MB or 48MB RAM, while the phone could support a microSD card of up to 32GB.
Basic camera and connectivity features
The HMD 102 4G Pro may include a basic 0.3 megapixel camera. Connectivity could include dual LTE support and Bluetooth 4.2.
The phone is also expected to retain a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other reported features include a media player and the classic Snake game, keeping the device focused on basic everyday use.
IP52 rating could be another addition
One notable upgrade could be an IP52 rating. If confirmed, the rating would offer some protection against dust and limited exposure to water, although it would not make the phone waterproof.
The device could arrive in dark blue, red and purple colour options, similar to the existing HMD 102 4G.
Expected price and launch status
The HMD 102 4G is currently priced at Rs 2199 in India. The Pro model could be positioned around the same budget segment, although its actual price has not been revealed.
