RCB vs KKR match may cancel for this reason
RCB vs KKR: Rain could affect the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday (May 17), when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) gets ready to resume.
Several teams suffered from rain-related problems in the 2025 IPL, with two matches being abandoned due to rain – Kolkata Knight Riders vs Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals.

The other two matches were washed out by rain, but the results were announced late. RCB, who have a total of 16 points, are just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs with three more matches remaining in the league stage.
The situation is different for KKR as they need to win their remaining two matches and hope that others will stumble to secure a place in the last four. In such a scenario, missing the match could hurt the chances of both KKR and RCB going into the IPL 2025 playoff race.
According to Accuweather.com, Bengaluru will have cloudy weather on May 17, with a possibility of heavy thunderstorms in the evening. While the temperature will be around 31 degrees during the day, it will drop to 22 degrees by evening.

There is an 84 percent chance of rain during the day and a 56 percent chance of rain in the evening. There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day and a 34 percent chance of rain in the evening.
