Karnataka Minister Krishna Byre Gowda Expresses Willingness to Resign Amid Congress Cabinet Reshuffle Talks

Congress Cabinet Reshuffle Talks: Amid intense discussions within the Karnataka Congress regarding the upcoming November revolution, power-sharing, and cabinet reshuffle, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has made a surprising statement, indicating his readiness to step down from the ministerial post.

Speaking in Bengaluru, Gowda said, “I am prepared to resign from my ministerial position. The party has given me everything. I have received opportunities beyond my merit. I am grateful to the party for recognizing me and giving me enough opportunities. I am ready to give up my ministerial post if needed.”

The statement has drawn attention in the state political arena, particularly given the internal turbulence within the ruling Congress. A few days ago, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had hosted a dinner for close ministers, widely believed to be related to discussions on the upcoming cabinet reshuffle. However, these discussions were reportedly rejected by the Chief Minister and other Congress leaders.

26 Lakh Devotees Attend Hasanamba Darshan: Krishna Byre Gowda
Minister Gowda also informed that approximately 26 lakh devotees participated in the Hasanamba Darshan this year. He described Hasanamba Devi as a symbol of joy and benevolence. Of the 26 lakh devotees, around 60% were women.

He credited the increased turnout to government initiatives such as free travel for women on state buses. “The deity belongs to no single household. We have ensured that all citizens have access to the darshan,” Gowda said, highlighting the administration’s efforts to facilitate devotees.
