ED raids Veerendra Puppy bank locker: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is giving shock after shock to Congress leader Veerendra Puppy, who has already been arrested in connection with the online betting scam case. Yesterday, officials raided the bank lockers belonging to Puppy and found more than 40 kg of gold bars.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials raided Chitradurga Congress MLA KC Veerendra Puppy again on Thursday. They seized two lockers belonging to Veerendra Puppy in Challakere. Now, the ED has opened Puppy’s locker and seized 40 kg of gold bars worth Rs 50.33 crore.
The officials have searched several places in the town, including the Federal Bank in Challakere. He had made a profit of Rs 2,000 crore in a short period of time in online betting. It was revealed during the ED raid that he had made a profit of Rs 103 crore in the past. The ED officials who had conducted the raid had seized gold ornaments worth Rs 103 crore.

Earlier, the ED had raided the house and office of Veerendra Pappi following allegations of illegal money laundering in online betting apps and casinos. ED raided around 30 places, During the raid, property documents worth Rs 150 crore, Rs 12 crore in cash, Rs 6 crore in gold, foreign currency and other assets worth crores were seized.
The ED officials who had conducted the raid in the early hours of August 29 also conducted a thorough search at the houses of MLA Veerendra Pappi and his brothers KC Thippeswamy and Nagaraj from 5:30 am to 12:45 am and finally returned with the documents.
During the raid, the ED officials seized Rs 12 crore in cash, Rs 1 crore in foreign currency, Rs 6 crore in gold ornaments and 10 kg of silver. The ED officials also seized 5 luxury vehicles, 17 bank accounts and 2 lockers belonging to MLA Pappi. In addition, a total of Rs 40.69 crore was found in Veerendra’s bank accounts, and a total of Rs 14.46 crore in 262 mule accounts.
Veerendra, who had gone to Gangtok, Sikkim for negotiations on leasing a casino, was arrested by the ED officials there. Pappi, who is arrested in an illegal betting case, was remanded in ED custody. Now, ED officials have found gold bars worth Rs 50.33 crore in two lockers belonging to Veerendra Pappi. The total amount seized in this case so far has crossed Rs 150 crore, ED officials said.
