Metro rail services have been affected due to heavy rains. The IMD has predicted heavy rains in the city and suburbs in the next 24 hours. People are facing several problems due to continuous rains in Mumbai. According to municipal officials, Mumbai city recorded an average rainfall of 95 mm.

A tidal wave of 4.21 meters is forecast for 3:31 pm. A tidal wave of 3.44 meters is forecast for 3:31 am on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours after the onset of the southwest monsoon, Mumbai, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Raigad districts have received heavy rainfall. Many areas have been flooded due to heavy rains.
The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange warnings due to heavy rains in many parts of the Konkan region, including Mumbai. Mumbai has been receiving heavy rain since late night, accompanied by thunder and lightning. Mumbai authorities are saying that there is a possibility of more rain in the next few hours. Therefore, people have been advised to be cautious.

In Kerala too, the monsoon has significantly affected life. The continuous rains have caused the water level of rivers to rise, inundating many houses. Train services have also been severely affected due to the rain. The IMD said that heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds is likely in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts in the next few hours.
