Konkan & Goa: Extremely heavy rain was forecasted for July 26th, with very heavy rain on July 27th. Heavy rain is expected on July 28th-29th, with no warning for July 30th.
Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra: Extremely heavy rain was forecasted for July 26th, with very heavy rain on July 27th. Heavy rain is expected till July 30th.
Kerala & Mahe: Heavy rainfall is very likely at one or two places from July 27th to 30th. Strong surface winds are also expected.
Coastal Karnataka: Very heavy rain is expected on July 27th, 28th, and 29th. Heavy rain is likely on July 30th and 31st.
North Interior Karnataka: Very heavy rain is expected on July 27th. Heavy rain is likely on July 28th and 29th.
Uttarakhand: Very heavy rainfall on July 27th-28th, and heavy rainfall until August 1st.
Odisha: Heavy rainfall activities are expected to persist across the state until July 30th, with extremely heavy rainfall in districts like Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.

Chhattisgarh: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely till July 30th.
Saurashtra & Kutch: Very heavy rain is expected on July 27th, with heavy rain on July 28th.
Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is likely during July 27th-30th, with very heavy rainfall on July 29th.
West Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rainfall likely during July 27th-29th.
East Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rainfall likely during July 28th-30th.
Bihar: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely till July 30th.
Gangetic West Bengal: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely till July 30th.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim: Heavy rainfall during July 27th-28th.
Jharkhand: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely during July 29th-31st.
The rainfall is influenced by active monsoon conditions, including a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal which has moved inland.
IMD warns of potential damage due to heavy rain, leading to flash floods, waterlogging in low-lying areas, and disruption of road and rail traffic.
Strong surface winds are likely over South Peninsular India. There’s also a risk of landslides in hilly regions, particularly in Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along the Odisha coast and other affected coastal areas due to squally winds and rough sea conditions.

Water levels in rivers and dams are rising, prompting authorities to open dam shutters in some areas (e.g., Kerala). Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for several rivers.
