Motorola Moto G Max Launched With 7000mAh Battery and 120Hz Display
Motorola has launched the Moto G Max in India with a large battery, Sony camera, rugged build, 5G connectivity and launch offers starting from its first sale.

Motorola has expanded its G Series lineup in India with the launch of the Moto G Max. The new 5G smartphone is aimed at users who want a combination of long battery life, a large display and a durable design without moving into the company’s premium price range.
The biggest talking point is the 7000mAh battery. Motorola says the phone can deliver up to 63 hours of use on a single full charge. It also supports 30W TurboPower fast charging, giving users a way to top up the large battery when needed.
The Moto G Max is priced at ₹27,999 for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It will be available in Pantone Alaskan Blue, Pantone Malaga and Pantone Stargazer colours through Flipkart.
The first sale is scheduled for August 20 at 12 noon. Buyers using eligible Axis Bank or ICICI Bank credit cards can receive an instant discount of ₹1,000. Motorola is also offering an exchange bonus of up to ₹1,000 on selected devices, which can bring down the effective purchase price.
On the front, the phone gets a 6.72 inch Full HD Plus LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels and can reach a peak brightness of 1,050 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is included for additional protection against everyday scratches and minor damage.
Powering the handset is the 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. It is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola has also included RAM Boost, allowing part of the internal storage to be used as virtual memory when required.
The software experience is based on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI. The company has promised two Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates, giving buyers a clearer idea of the phone’s expected software support.
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup on the back. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera. A 32MP front camera is available for selfies and video calls.
Durability is another area where Motorola is putting some emphasis. The Moto G Max carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes and also meets the MIL STD 810H durability standard. The phone includes a side mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for everyday security.
For connectivity, the device supports dual SIM 5G, 4G LTE, Wi Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. It uses a USB Type C port for charging and data, while Motorola has also retained a 3.5mm headphone jack. That will be useful for users who still prefer traditional wired earphones.
With its large battery, high refresh rate screen and rugged construction, the Moto G Max is clearly designed around practical everyday features. Its success in India will likely depend on how well these specifications compete with other phones available around the ₹28,000 price point.
