IMD Issued heavy Rainfall: People in North India are again feeling the cold due to strong winds. Temperatures are also dropping due to continuous snowfall and rain in the hilly states. India Meteorological Department (IMD) Issued heavy Rainfall alert in these states for next 2 days.

The temperature has dropped below minus degrees Celsius in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. The capital Delhi and NCR have been receiving rains for the past few days, leading to a series of drops in temperature.

In the next 48 hours, due to a western disturbance, Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas are expected to receive rain along with snowfall. According to the India Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for light rain over Ladakh and upper Sikkim. The cyclone circulation is active over Assam and its surrounding areas.

According to IMD, the weather will change again from March 9 due to western disturbances. A new western disturbance will be active in the mountains from March 10 to 12.  Due to this, a thunderstorm warning has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Apart from this, the snowfall period may also continue. The IMD has warned that there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in Bihar on March 8. Also, there is a possibility of heavy rains with lightning and thunder in Sikkim from March 7 to 8.

Heavy snowfall continues in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. The weather is cold as usual during the day and there is a possibility of a drop in temperature in the coming days. Uttar Pradesh has been experiencing mild cold wave conditions due to strong winds for the past few days.

According to weather experts, the weather in the state will remain clear till March 12. During this time, there is a possibility of an increase in temperature, due to which the heatwave effect in the state may increase further.
