Karnataka Budget 2025 Live: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented the 2025 state budget, emphasizing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s constitutional values and the state’s social unity. The budget has prioritized education and healthcare, allocating Rs 2,500 crore to develop 500 government schools. The government will provide financial assistance of Rs 3,000 crore to BBMP and BWSSB to build a systematic drainage network and STPs to control floods caused by climate change in Bengaluru.
Anna Bhagya Scheme: 5 kg additional rice to replace cash assistance, benefiting 4.21 crore people. The financial assistance given in lieu of additional 5 kg rice under the Anna Bhagya Scheme started with the objective of mitigating the hunger of the poor in the state will be replaced with 5 Kg additional rice. This will provide additional rice to 4.21 crore beneficiaries.
