A former sanitation worker, claims to have buried hundreds of bodies, mostly women, between 1995 and 2014, with some allegedly showing signs of sexual assault. He has identified 13 specific locations for exhumation.
The challenging terrain, including water seepage due to the proximity of the Netravathi River, and continuous rainfall, have complicated the digging operations. Forensic experts and a dog squad are assisting the SIT in their ongoing efforts. The SIT is committed to investigating all identified locations.
